Last week, Clark University, a small liberal arts institution located in Worcester, MA, announced plans to join the list of almost 900 colleges and universities who are SAT/ACT optional. This new admissions policy, set to begin fall 2013, coincides with the implementation of another program at Clark – LEEP – which looks to transform the learning experience for students toward developing lifelong personal and professional enhancement skills. This article details the admissions staffs’ reasoning behind the decision.
